Crypto rally called manipulated in Reddit post ↗

31 Oct, 09:26 JST

Reddit user calls a crypto rally manipulated, citing exchange hacks and pre-delisting pumps. No coin, price data or trading evidence is given.

Editor’s take

Calling a rally manipulation shows realistic alertness to possible manipulation. Yet a post without the coin, prices or trading data cannot verify the claim. Judging a market from a sudden rise is like forecasting a storm from a gust of wind: a warning, but not a weather report.

r/CryptoCurrency · u/Independent-Piece505 · 1 points · 0 comments · DISCUSSION I've played these games before. So many times have I played these games before. The coins rallying today is just so phony and bullshit. I've been in crypto for long enough to know that the biggest exchange in crypto doesn't just get hacked for the biggest heist ever, and you get a small dump, and next day everybody is happy again YAY! PAMP TIME! Lol. It's like those times when a coin gets announced that it's delisted off Binance, and the price gets absolutely gutted, and then you see a massive pump just before it gets the chop. It's complete manipulation. Exactly what we're seeing today. I have seen massive blood on the street dumps over the stupidest shit. And manipulators will use any little reason to cause one. It's not different here. I expect a massive crash possibly next week, possibly Sunday when Binance opens up withdrawals again. Don't fall for the fakest shit, if the sentiment sucks right now, the prices will follow.

Cointelegraph: Ledger tampering reported in Singapore a month before disclosure ↗

30 Oct, 07:31 JST

Cointelegraph says Ledger tampering was reported in Singapore a month before disclosure. Evidence is only a cover image and URL, with no incident details.

Editor’s take

If the tampering report predated disclosure, trust in Ledger would rest on reporting and verification, not ease of use. Without its target, method, or scope, impact cannot be sized. A ledger resembles home repair history: without entry order or verifiers, it cannot explain why repair was needed.

Air-Gapped Wallet Apps Now Exist for PlayStation, Game Boy, and Nintendo 64 ↗

30 Oct, 07:22 JST

Air-gapped crypto wallet apps are now available for PlayStation, Game Boy, and Nintendo 64.

Editor’s take

Moving crypto-asset management onto retro consoles turns a serious financial responsibility into a form of play. Canadian 'crypto king' case heads to the jury as criminal trial nears its end ↗

Crypto exchange built on GTA market lore ↗

Using a game's stock market for crypto is like treating a theme-park souvenir as a share. Lore can draw attention, but the post gives no trading rules, token identifiers or link to game promotion. r/CryptoCurrency · u/_lag__ · 1 points · 0 comments · SPECULATION if you’re still looking for a gta coin, this might be the ultimate narrative. most of them are just the name. this one is the actual exchange rockstar built. LORE FIRST: rockstar put a nasdaq parody called BAWSAQ on the in-game internet in 2008. in GTA V they made it a real global exchange where every player’s actions moved the same prices. people coordinated to pump companies because the site itself encouraged it. it wasn’t background flavor. it was a live market. now GTA 6 is a month out and a lot of the marketing is already leaning into the fictional miami stocks and companies. the timing is perfect for the real version of that system. we’ve been building for months and the community stuck through all of it. we made our own launchpad on BAWSAQ so people can launch the fictional stocks there. every single one is paired with BAWSAQ. it’s live on the website right now. U can launch your own fictional stock today. it’s on Robinhood chain and PONS. we got vamped a bunch of times but we’re the only one that survived and kept shipping. the OGs stayed. that’s the difference between a name and the actual infrastructure. i think this can get very big. we’re also planning servers on GTA 6 where people can trade their stocks on the BAWSAQ exchange in-game. the same market from the games, now real, with the game coming back around. most GTA coins will fade once the hype moves on. this one is the exchange itself. the one rockstar actually put in the game and let players move. that’s the whole thesis. GTA6 will be the biggest game ever.

Crypto-card spending estimated above $1.5B monthly, mostly on fiat rails ↗

23 Oct, 04:16 JST

Artemis estimates crypto-card spending exceeded $1.5B monthly by late 2025, mostly via fiat. Merchants get fiat; stablecoins are sold at funding or payment.

Editor’s take

The label 'crypto spending' emphasizes a convenient funding wrapper, not crypto acceptance by merchants. Users sell the stablecoin and merchants receive fiat, so most checkout value settles on fiat rails. It resembles calling a bank transfer a card payment: familiar interface, different underlying flow.

r/CryptoCurrency · u/JakRenden2 · 1 points · 1 comments · ANALYSIS Came across an [Artemis report on how stablecoin cards actually work](https://research.artemis.ai/p/stablecoin-payments-at-scale-how) and it changed how I think about “spending crypto.” In most programs, the merchant never receives crypto at all. Your stablecoin gets sold, either when you top up or at the moment you pay, and the merchant gets regular fiat through the card network. The report estimated crypto-card spending grew from about $100 million a month in early 2023 to over $1.5 billion by late 2025, but said the vast majority of that settled on fiat rails. So the growth is real, but the crypto part mostly happens on the funding side, not at checkout. I get why it’s built this way, since it lets these cards work at any terminal. But it makes me wonder whether stablecoin cards are actually pushing crypto payments forward, or just acting as a nicer on-ramp to the same old card rails?

Is 24/7 trading worth it when tokenized stocks lack shareholder rights? ↗

19 Oct, 23:29 JST

Tokenized stocks trade 24/7 but give no share ownership. Some issuers allow redemption after identity checks; long-term holders miss dividends and votes.

Editor’s take

The convenience of all-hours trading can obscure what is being given up: the legal bundle that makes a share a share. For a short-term price trader, ownership may be irrelevant; for a long-term holder, dividends and votes are the point. Calling a tokenized claim a stock is like calling a rented suit your own wardrobe.

These onchain stocks don't give you ownership of the underlying shares. You only get exposure to the stock's price. Some issuers let holders redeem onchain stocks for real shares if you complete the KYC requirements. If you are day trading, ownership of the stocks might not matter a lot. But if you're investing for the next five or ten years, ownership rights, dividends, and the ability to redeem your holdings become much more important. Unaminer: A Blockchain Game Where Humans Solve Hashes by Hand ↗

Yes, i built a game using AI coding to get you solving hashes by hand. Because why not. It’s called **Unaminer**. You pick 8 rocks, and their letters become the nonce of a real block header. The server hashes it with double SHA-256, and the more leading zeros your hash has, the deeper you dig. To get you actually think - you need to solve blueprints to get energy or....wait for a while and try again. Everyone digs in the same shared world, and the whole idea is simple: **can anyone find the hash that reaches the core?** You can create teams to do it with your friends. You can do it on guest account (no log in) or create account (no private data asked). You can see what level hash your team solved. Also you can see how the world is doing and what's the current leaderboard (previous worlds etc). Every time when someone gets the hash, the world resets to a new one...and we all start again. Right now the difficulty is set to 8 bits for testing reasons. There are some...plans in the future. Editor’s take

When a company's treasury bets on an asset's price rather than on its own operations, shareholders end up buying the market's temperature instead of the business. Funding bitcoin with preferred shares sits one step away from borrowing money to buy a lottery ticket. Profit will be called courage and loss will be called speculation, though the mechanism is identical in both cases.

EU can fend off rogue AI risk, tech chief says: Report ↗

10 Oct, 17:41 JST

A senior EU tech official reportedly stated that the bloc can independently counter irregular AI threats, putting the self-reliance of its regulatory framework in the spotlight.

Editor’s take

A declaration of regulatory self-reliance carries the fragility of a massive gear turning in isolation: if the bloc can indeed control outside threats, that logic will bleed into adjacent domains, delivering liquidity rather than predictability for in-region technology firms.

Bitcoin's volatility has fallen, yet extreme swings occur more often than in 2018 ↗

10 Oct, 14:43 JST

CoinDesk reports that Bitcoin's day-to-day volatility has dropped, but extreme price swings now occur more frequently than they did in 2018.

Editor’s take

It is the parable of a sea that looks calm on the surface yet still throws sudden walls of water. Mistaking quiet markets for safety leaves a holder exposed when rare shocks become routine. Anyone anchoring strategy to today's low daily swings may discover, too late, that the rhythm of risk has changed under their feet.

Robinhood Chain Slowdown Spreads From Fees to Trading, With Transactions Falling Over 40% ↗

10 Oct, 13:44 JST

According to CoinDesk, the slowdown on Robinhood Chain has extended past fees into actual trading, with transactions declining by more than 40%.

Editor’s take

A decline like this reads less like panic than like boredom. The quiet after the fair suggests a real question: whether the next round actually arrives, or whether the venue was propped up by rewards rather than by people who wanted to stay. If the substrate cannot hold users once the incentives end, the activity will simply migrate elsewhere.

Only XRP ETFs in the green as BTC, ETH and ZEC funds see outflows ↗

9 Oct, 15:51 JST

Latest ETF flow data shows XRP-linked funds posting net inflows while Bitcoin, Ethereum and Zcash ETFs record outflows.

Editor’s take

From an escapist reading, the pattern looks oddly lopsided: orderly exits from the marquee names while a single side stage stays lit. It resembles guests quietly leaving a banquet while one far table keeps ordering more. The assessment here is that "diversification as a safety net" appears to break before diversification even begins.

Cantor Fitzgerald faces Senate Democrat's questions over Tether ties ↗

9 Oct, 09:46 JST

A U.S. Senate Democrat has reportedly pressed the financial firm Cantor Fitzgerald for answers about its relationship with stablecoin issuer Tether, putting the political-crypto intersection back in the spotlight.

Editor’s take

When people entrust their savings to a single institution, they must watch regulators closely to stay safe. The current standoff over whether politicians act as guardians of finance or as tools of the industry resembles the friction seen when auditors are chosen inside a parish. The most falsifiable point is whether the lawmaker's letter translates into concrete action, such as a hearing or formal inquiry, or remains purely symbolic.

A Reddit user published a teardown of the Trezor Safe 7 and a mainboard transplant procedure. The post targets crypto users and hardware wallet enthusiasts interested in device internals.

Editor’s take

Reading a teardown is like watching someone else fix a sink: informative, but the moment grease hits your own hands the steps feel different. AI-Generated Video Game Mod Mashups Go Wild ↗

8 Oct, 21:15 JST

Vibe coders are using AI to mash up major game worlds: Minecraft inside Elden Ring, Skate inside Call of Duty, Spider-Man inside Gotham. The experimental mods are spreading across social media and blurring the line between player and creator.

Editor’s take

The democratization of creation hands a trial business card to those without elite tooling. It is like borrowing a professional landscaper's kit to try crossbreeding on a balcony planter. When someone borrows the skeleton of a beloved game to install a different soul in it, the border between copyright and creation is always being renegotiated. Yet this small body of experiments underwrites one cultural claim. Existing fictional worlds are not sealed sanctuaries but provisional housing that audiences move into.

Four-Year Cycle Update: Into Uncharted Territory ↗

8 Oct, 21:10 JST

An analyst updates a BTC four-year cycle table. It shows a pattern of highs followed by lows roughly 366 days later, but the most recent call was wrong: BTC hit a high of 124,774 on 10/7/25, more than double the prediction. The author concedes the miss.

Editor’s take

The premise that halvings are a structural driver has finally broken in the data. Chart-faith is like blaming the weather: it never explains why you showed up without an umbrella. Market participants who privilege narrative over verifiable on-chain fact will keep being forced to redraw their maps every time a cycle fails to repeat.

r/CryptoCurrency · u/MerkleChainsaw · 1 points · 0 comments · ANALYSIS Last year I [posted this chart](https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/1ozhku2/four_year_cycle_update_predicting_the_bottom/), predicting BTC would be under $40,000 today, so I thought it would be fair to post an update. |Inflection|Date|Days|Price|Return| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| || |High|11/30/13||1,127|| |Low|1/14/15|410|172|\-85%| |High|12/16/17|1,067|19,665|\+11,324%| |Low|12/17/18|366|3,217|\-84%| |High|11/9/21|1,058|67,617|\+2,002%| |Low|11/10/22|366|15,742|\-77%| |High|10/7/25|1,062|124,774|\+693%| |Low|*10/8/26?*|*366?*|*37,400?*|*-70%?*| Obviously I and all the other four year cyclers were wrong, and BTC is now more than double my prediction. I never believed in the halvening as some kind of structural driver, but I did think the cycle was a self fulfilling prophecy. Since this cycle was so different on the downside, I'd be very careful assuming a 3 year bull market is in the cards or that Bitcoin is destined to make another inflation adjusted all time high. I think the reasonable range of outcomes is now wider than ever, and the days of it being a bet with asymmetric upside are over.

Ethena's white-label stablecoin stack is spreading ↗

7 Oct, 23:20 JST

Ethena Whitelabel, launched in September 2025, lets partners keep brand and distribution while Ethena handles issuance, reserves, custody and redemption. It is now sitting under several major crypto venues as their dollar layer.

Editor’s take

Infrastructure rarely becomes headline news on day one. Whitelabel quietly compresses months of plumbing into a contract, so the brand on top borrows the credibility of the layer beneath it, and end users struggle to tell who is actually on the hook when something breaks. As the temptation grows to choose whatever ships fastest, the market will have to decide whether it is rewarding speed of distribution or honesty of disclosure. The design looks like a smooth road; the question is what is paved underneath.

In a year it went from a product announcement to the dollar layer under several of the larger crypto venues. Jupiter shipped jupUSD on Solana. MegaETH shipped USDm to subsidise sequencer fees. Sui added suiUSDe and the Treasury-backed USDi. Maple was first to use Whitelabel Liquidity, putting USDtb inside a roughly $400 million buffer for syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT. Down but not out: Bitcoin's stair-step bullish trajectory is still intact ↗

The argument frames Bitcoin as holding a stair-step bullish trajectory even after a dip, framing short-term weakness within a broader bullish structure.

Metaplanet Sells and Rebuys Its Bitcoin in a Bid for a Credit Rating ↗

6 Oct, 16:11 JST

Listed firm Metaplanet reportedly sold its Bitcoin holdings and reacquired them almost immediately, reportedly in pursuit of a corporate credit rating.

Editor’s take

The sale-and-immediate-repurchase pattern looks like an accounting maneuver to satisfy rating-agency criteria without actually parting with the asset. For readers familiar with corporate finance, it sharpens the question of how traditional rating houses will treat crypto holdings at all.
