9 Oct, 20:41 JST
The crypto market has entered a pullback, with majors sliding. Hopes for "Uptober" are fading and views are divided between a leverage flush or the start of a deeper downturn.
Editor’s take
How one reads this pullback — as a seasonal test or merely a breath before climbing the autumn hill — shapes the forecast. A flushed-out leverage shake could seed the next rebound, yet if the anniversary uplift thesis crumbles, it may presage a longer winter. Read the sourceTrump's Iran stance underpins crypto gains as bitcoin shorts face liquidation ↗
9 Oct, 20:09 JST
Geopolitical risk tied to U.S. presidential rhetoric on Iran has reportedly fueled crypto market gains, with short bitcoin positions being liquidated during the rally.
Editor’s take
In an age of trusted payment rails, crypto still moving on traditional geopolitical headlines is evidence that its store-of-value thesis remains bound to state credibility. The thrill of a short squeeze carries the mirror risk of an even faster unwind. A simple testability — that any de-escalation with Iran could drain the momentum as quickly as it appeared — quietly undermines the durability of this rally.

The UK has sanctioned three crypto exchanges linked to Russian illicit funds.
Editor’s take
A state severing specific exchanges from the financial fabric introduces a quiet crack in the premise that digital currency naturally flows past borders and rules. PRESSCointelegraphBitcoin speculators shift 55K BTC to exchanges alongside $1.1B liquidations ↗
9 Oct, 18:50 JST
According to Cointelegraph, Bitcoin speculators moved 55K BTC to exchanges as roughly $1.1B in liquidations occurred, hinting at a potential full capitulation in the market.
Editor’s take
When the sound of capitulation fills the room, the urge to press the liquidation button alongside the crowd is real, but a veteran angler hauls in his nets before the storm. Historically, moves of this size arrive at either the exact bottom or one stop before it, so until a confirmation candle lights up my portfolio stays in the freezer. Editor’s take
This site reads it as another sign that speculative heat now runs on ever thinner ground. This resembles a warehouse manager reshuffling crates that have sat in storage for years. When a large holder shifts a portion of its stockpile, markets brace as if fresh supply is hitting the shelves. When state-held assets land in an exchange's custody account, the market tightens like someone queuing lottery tickets at a counter. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has asked crypto firms to withdraw stablecoins that do not comply with EU regulations within three months.
Editor’s take
When a regulator grants a grace period before forcing an exit, the time is not a bureaucratic formality but an act of redrawing the boundary of trust. It resembles an owner whose garden fence has been torn down rebuilding the enclosure in three days, forcing firms to rescale both customer assets and internal rules within a narrow window. PRESSCointelegraphGreece plans 10% capital gains tax on cryptocurrencies ↗
8 Oct, 17:03 JST
Reports indicate the Greek government is planning a 10% capital gains tax on crypto asset sales. Further details have not yet been disclosed.
Editor’s take
This plan is best read as a state beginning to treat crypto assets as a formal taxable category, not as a judgment on the technology itself, but as a shift in the social cost of holding it. The rate appears modest, yet the actual burden could shift considerably depending on filing procedures and the scope of what is covered. As fewer places remain outside tax systems, the idea of crypto as a neutral place to park assets fades, and holdings are pushed toward alignment with tax regimes rather than away from them.

My father (60+) signed up for this course and put in a few thousand dollars and looks like he lost it. My father is not technically illiterate or mentally hindered despite his age so I’m inquiring to see if this is a real school or just a scam. It would have to be a pretty good scam to trick him so I’ve looked up whatever information I can on them but there aren’t many reviews or conversations happening on them online just some self published articles which isn’t enough for me. Looks like their overall model is some Troy of crypto school with a tier style program where your tier is based on how much money you put in(sounds super scammy I know). I’m also curious to know if there is a real academy and the one he is using is just using their name to be able to scam people. Any information is appreciated and Thanks in advance

Ethereum's next major upgrade, Glamsterdam, has gone live on Sepolia, one of its test networks, marking a developer-facing trial phase rather than a mainnet deployment.
Editor’s take
A light on a testnet is not the weather of mainnet. Glamsterdam firing up on Sepolia signals the blueprint has only just sent current through its wiring. The real test is what holds when the public stops watching.

Bitcoin trades above $86,000. With oil and US Treasury yields pulling back, FxPro notes that a break below $84,000 would give sellers control and put $80,000 in play. Minutes from the Fed's last meeting are due Wednesday.

Read the sourceWhy Bitcoin Is Down 'Just' 32% a Year After Its Record High ↗
6 Oct, 17:27 JST
A year after its record peak, Bitcoin's drawdown is only 32%. Bulls see the shallow correction as proof of historic strength, while bears warn that bullish conviction has yet to truly break.
Editor’s take
Numbers do not make history; the way people react to numbers does. Telling a story of 'still shallow' from inside a drawdown sounds eerily like the voice that once said 'still climbing' from inside a mania. The story told during a correction is often more haunting in hindsight than the depth of the correction itself.

PRESSCointelegraphBitcoin ETFs shed $90M as BTC sits 32% below year-old ATH ↗
6 Oct, 17:14 JST
Bitcoin ETFs saw $90M in outflows, while BTC trades roughly 32% below the all-time high it set one year ago.
Editor’s take
The drawdown from the prior peak is functionally familiar to every crypto cycle that came before. The site's view is that flow data (ETF net outflows) leaves a more falsifiable trail than price alone, and that a small outflow relative to cumulative ETF inflows is a weak bearish signal. Like muscle soreness that lingers, the current level feels like the body noticing strain, not breaking.

Editor’s take
A clerk's form vanished, yet the market's pulse beats unchanged. Erasing a line on the map does not reroute the river that carved it. With a hollow rule removed, the older question remains: who redraws the chart of this borderless sea?

The Solana Foundation has unveiled a program that settles institutional trades in seconds, with JPMorgan providing input on the design.
Editor’s take
The real question is what happens when legacy finance starts shaping public-chain design. Input that looks like help can harden into a de facto standard, turning a permissionless rail into a curated one. Settlement speed is just plating; the taste depends entirely on who owns the kitchen.

PRESSCointelegraphCFTC Joins SEC in Proposing Crypto Framework After Failed CLARITY Vote ↗
6 Oct, 02:40 JST
The CFTC has proposed a crypto regulatory framework together with the SEC, following the earlier failure of the CLARITY bill. The move signals a renewed attempt to define market oversight in the digital asset space.
Editor’s take
Like two sets of parents finally agreeing on bedtime, this alignment between the CFTC and SEC turns a noisy playground into something closer to a shared household. The rules that emerge will be the walls every builder and trader must work within, and the more coherent those walls, the more predictable the neighborhood becomes for anyone moving in.

A regulatory tide rises more quietly than the markets it governs. Choosing leverage as the threshold is a clever way in, like picking a single crack to test a dam, yet the crack tells you little about what lies behind the wall.

6 Oct, 00:54 JST
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has proposed crypto regulations alongside the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). However, the framework for the spot market still lags behind.
Editor’s take
Overlapping regulation resembles a property line redrawn again and again: proposals multiply, yet the spot-market lot remains unmeasured, so anyone trying to settle there must verify each boundary themselves. On balance, the agencies are beginning to align, but the unresolved treatment of spot markets is likely to produce friction in the near term.
