Will Anthropic Pull Off a November IPO? Key Filing Deadline Nears ↗
24 Oct, 07:00 JST
MarketWatch examines Anthropic's possible November IPO as key filings near a deadline. Filing status, venue, offering size, and valuation are unknown.
Editor’s take
An IPO filing does not by itself demonstrate business value. If the documents appear as planned, discussion can move from possibility to concrete terms; until then, finances and pricing cannot be assessed. Like a school exam, completing the paper is not the same as earning a passing grade.

Hi everyone, I’m from the UK and have already had my Japan Working Holiday visa approved. I’m now trying to sort out health/medical insurance before I leave. My understanding is that once I’m living in Japan, I’ll need to register for Japanese National Health Insurance (NHI), even if I’m not working and have £0 income initially. I’m also planning to buy a 12-month Working Holiday/travel insurance policy from the UK before I leave, mainly for things like emergency medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, etc. A few things I’m unsure about: Is it normal/recommended to have **both NHI and private travel insurance**? How much did you actually pay for NHI when you first arrived, particularly if you had little/no income? If I forget to register for NHI immediately after arriving, what happens? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has recently done a Japan Working Holiday, especially UK citizens. Thanks!

Alert-level rain may affect Kyushu to Kanto on the 24th and 25th, with risks of landslides, land flooding and river overflow.

The platform lets AI agents access logins, passwords, and other data without seeing or storing the information. Personal AI agents like Meta Muse, ChatGPT Dots, and Claude Duet often need access to accounts and sensitive user information, and 1Password for Agents offers that access without exposing passwords. 1Password for Agents is rolling out "over the coming days" for Grok Bot and Muse. An ingress rating is like a raincoat label: it describes a controlled test, not real-world protection. - Apple's iPhone Duo has failed JerryRigEverything's latest durability test. Despite its IP68 dust-resistance rating, dust entered the hinge through several ingress points, overwhelming the magnets that hold the phone shut. The bend test then left a permanent green line across the inner display, before the screen became unresponsive. The outer screen with Ceramic Shield 2 scratched at level 7 on the Mohs scale, but the inner screen only managed level 2, although credit was given for its matte nano-texture coating making marks "magically disappear."
